When do I need it and when can I do without for my listing?

All the homes may “look the same” but you aren’t you selling more than a home?

Quite often when doing real estate photography in Naples I ask the real estate agent if they would like aerial images of the listing and they opt out citing that “all the roofs look the same” or “it’s just a golf course view not the beach”.

For sure, 100%, there are a lot of residential real estate listings, even in Naples, that do not require aerial photography to highlight the property features or location. I would go as far as to say that there are a considerable amount of homes in Southwest Florida that aerial images would actually take away from marketing the property.

With that said, still the majority of neighborhoods in the Naples, Marco Island and Fort Myers areas are well maintained and the developers have put a lot of consideration into the amenities as well as the layout of the lots. The aesthetics of a residential development may not always be seen from the street level. Just a little higher up, over the roof lines may reveal the true vision of a residential neighborhood and give the potential buyer a good feel for where the home is actually located.

Drone-attained aerial imagery will set you leagues apart from traditional photography, allowing the buyer to get a much better feel for the lay of the land. According to multiple listing service (MLS) statistics, properties with aerial imagery are 68% more likely to sell than those without
